Bulletproofing, a brilliant technique to ramp up your morning cuppa with added fats like butter, coconut oil, MCT oil, ghee and egg yolk. Creamy, delicious and full of healthy fats, this beverage will nourish your gut and fire up your brain cells, helping you think more clearly and faster. This is a terrific drink to add to your diet if you're struggling to eat enough essential fat. Choose Swiss Water decaffeinated coffee when you can to help keep your hormones and blood sugar balanced

Bulletproof Drinks

SERVES 1

1 cup of quality freshly brewed coffee or black tea

1 teaspoon - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter or ghee

and/or 1 teaspoon - 2 tablespoons coconut oil or MCT oil


Optional extras

1 egg yolk

1 tablespoon collagen makes it super frothy

small pinch of natural salt

Ingredients

Brew a cup of coffee or tea as you normally would.


Blend hot beverage with 1 teaspoon of each, butter (omit if dairy free) and/or coconut/MCT oil. Add other optional extras like egg yolk, collagen and natural salt — my favourite is ghee, egg yolk, collagen and salt. Using a milk frother, stick blender or freestanding blender, for about 15–30 seconds until it looks creamy and frothy. Begin with 1 teaspoon of each fat, and work your way up slowly to a measure you are happy with.


Whisking will not achieve the same results —a blender is essential here to create a lusious creamy beverage.
