Adapted from the Hemsley sisters, this buttery sardine pate is a great way to add fats to your day. Enjoy it with keto crackers, by the spoonful, or on flaxseed bread!
Sardine Butter
SERVES 6–8
85g salted butter at room temperature
1 tin of sardines drained
1/2 lemon zest and juice
1–2 tablespoons of chopped parsley or soft herb of your choice like chives, tarragon etc.
salt & pepper
Ingredients
Quite simply, mix and mash everything together with a fork, and season with salt and pepper.
Transfer to a ramekin and use like a pate, on keto crackers or flaxseed bread. Or, using cling/parchment, wrap it into a log and store in the fridge for easy slices that will pimp up your steamed veg.
